Harron Homes is excited to be sponsoring Harworth Colliery FC team, the football club close to our Simpson Park development in Harworth.
This sponsorship has enabled the team to purchase new shirts to ensure they are looking their best for the new season. The football club is a non-profit organisation who provides football to Harworth and Bircotes and surrounding villages. It’s community programme provides all children with the opportunity to learn, play and most importantly enjoy their football. As a club, it is currently helping to keep over 200 children off the streets, as well as teaching them important values, such as; team work, discipline, respect and sportsmanship.
Harron is a proud supporter of local sports teams having sponsored a number of grassroots teams in the past. Harworth Colliery FC is based at the Harworth and Bircotes Sports Pavilion on Scrooby Road close to our Simpson Park development, which offers a range of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes. The area is also home of the world famous, local champion cyclist Tom Simpson, from whom the development gets its name and the club has a memorabilia display in commemoration of the local legend.
As well as a fantastic sports scene, the development is ideally located for exploring the very best that the South Yorkshire Peak District, one of Britain’s greatest natural hotspots has to offer. Whether travelling for work or pleasure, homeowners will benefit from excellent links to the A1.
The football ground and development are also a short drive from the neighbouring city of Doncaster. Simpson Park benefits from excellent commuter links and is ideally located for travelling to Rotherham, Worksop and Sheffield.
