Last Friday, 20th October 2023, we joined many people throughout the country on Wear it Pink day, raising money for Breast Cancer Now.
Colleagues from our head offices in Barlborough and Leeds swapped shirts and ties for anything pink from tops and jumpers to even onesies and sunglasses! To boost our fundraising efforts we included some games throughout the day including a coin hunt and enjoyed some pink sweet treats.
Together we raised £218.50 which will go towards the valuable work Breast Cancer Now conducts with both world class research and providing care and support to those already affected. Cancer affects so many of us every year, especially breast cancer which is the most common in the UK. Wear it Pink day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK, which has raised over £39 million since 2002.
It was wonderful to see so many of our colleagues come together in fundraising to support Breast Cancer Now, and help them in their mission to ensure that by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live.
