Leeds based Harron Homes Yorkshire has appointed Katie Charlesworth as Sales and Marketing Director.
Katie returns to the company after five years working both as a consultant and heading up the sales function for a smaller high-end developer, bringing a wealth of experience and fresh perspective to the role.
Katie’s journey with Harron Homes began when she was promoted to Sales and Marketing Director in 2013, a pivotal time for the company as it expanded operations. Reflecting on the transformation, Katie said, “When I joined the business in 2013, there were just five developments across the whole company. By 2017, the North Midlands region was created, and now there are over twenty developments across both regions, so it is an exciting time to rejoin the business.”
She acknowledged the current challenges facing the industry, particularly the impact of external factors – like rising mortgage rates despite the recent Bank of England base rate reductions – on customer confidence. However, Katie is optimistic about the future.
“With a renewed focus on customer satisfaction and cross-departmental collaboration to deliver homes in the right way, first time, every time, I am confident we will achieve our goals.
“We have a strong, knowledgeable team of people, across all departments in our business, who are truly enthusiastic about Harron Homes. It is wonderful to see familiar faces working just as hard now as they were during my previous tenure.”
Katie’s passion for housebuilding has been a driving force throughout her career. She shared how she transitioned into the industry.
“I was working with a luxury brand retail business as a Regional Sales Manager, and had to take a rather significant pay cut to break into the new home sales industry, securing a Trainee Sales Advisor role, but had every confidence in my ability to climb the ladder quickly—and I haven’t looked back since.”
Now boasting almost two decades of experience in house sales, Katie is set to lead Harron Homes’ sales and marketing efforts into an exciting new chapter.
