A key worker from Mansfield has reserved a brand-new family home from developer Harron Homes at its Forest Reach development, using its NHS and Essential Worker discount offered to those working on the front line of the pandemic.
Claire Bradford is a Peripatetic Manager at Cygnet Health Care, covering sites across the East Midlands for inpatients requiring mental health care.
She will be moving into the four-bedroom detached Windsor style property with her husband Alan and their children – Charlie, four, and Madeline, three. They hope to move in later this year.
“We started looking for a new home late last year,” says Claire. “The kids are growing up quickly so we’re starting to outgrow ours!”
“Our current home is lacking a large kitchen diner. We love the idea of being able to have proper family dinners at a table altogether. My little boy kept saying he wanted to have a chicken dinner at a dining table!”
“My husband drove past Forest Reach and liked the look of it, so we went to look around. We loved the show home. It had everything we needed, that coveted kitchen diner, and space to convert the garage in the future. We reserved as soon as we could.”
“The house looks like a traditional family home. I liked the feel of it; it just felt homely. I could picture my family in it – the kids doing their homework in the evening or having breakfast in the morning. I could just picture our life there. We feel really lucky and grateful.”
“The NHS key worker discount has been a huge bonus,” Claire added. “It’s so far beyond what I was expecting and I think it’s brilliant.”
Natalie Griffiths, Sales Director for Harron Homes Midlands, said: “We’re thrilled that Claire and her family have found a Harron Home that they love, and that we could make a gesture to thank her for all her hard work at this time. The discount is ongoing and could make a big difference for Essential Workers looking to purchase a new home.”
Forest Reach is located on Newlands Road in Forest Town, Mansfield.
Harron Homes has recently extended its key workers offer, and will be offering its exclusive discount to all essential workers looking to purchase a home in 2020.
