Harron Homes has successfully completed the purchase of a second parcel of land to commence phase two of its Shipley Lakeside development in Heanor, Derbyshire. Work on the former American Adventure theme park is well underway with 172 Harron homes currently being built on phase one. To mark National Apprenticeship Week 2023 (6th-12th February), we are celebrating its newest Quantity Surveyor Apprentice, Matthew Hyde from Nottingham, whose past few months at Harron have equipped him with important skills for life. Matt’s apprenticeship at Harron Homes, which he began in September, is a ‘day-release programme’, consisting of a three-year course with one day per week spent in formal training for his Higher National Certificate in Construction and the Built Environment at Nottingham College in Basford. Harron Homes Yorkshire has received planning permission from Barnsley Metropolitan Council to transform a disused brownfield site on Bleachcroft Way in Barnsley, South Yorkshire with 238 luxury homes on the development called Nevison’s Fold.
