Harron Homes inspires Bilsthorpe school children to construct their futures

With rapid progress being made at Bilsthorpe Chase, our newest development in Newark, Nottinghamshire, nearby Bilsthorpe Flying High Academy invited Harron Homes to lead an assembly discussing careers in house building. From the wide variety of careers within the construction industry the school was particularly interested in finding out more about architecture. Harron Homes gets Selby community together for playground launch

We recently invited the local community to celebrate the launch of a new playground at Far Grange Meadows in Selby. Proceedings were officiated by Selby District Councillor, Steven Shaw-Wright who officially declared the play area open. Residents also came to enjoy the playground equipment, as well as face painting and ice cream in the sunshine. Young kids appreciated the brand new colourful space, complete with swing, slide, and climbing frame among other apparatus to play on. Following a 20-year career across a variety of industries, Worksop-born Jason Peel is proud to take on the role of Engineering Manager for Harron Homes Yorkshire. With over 10 years in the housebuilder industry, as well as 20 years in the engineering industry overall, Jason’s move will bring his extensive knowledge to Harron. Jason, 46, began his diverse career over 20 years ago, in 2001, at a London-based land-surveying company. Putting down roots to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee

Our North Midlands region marked the Queen's Jubilee by supporting the Queen's Green Canopy (QGC). We planted a birch tree at both Thorpe Meadows, our development in Holmewood near Chesterfield and Wyndthorpe Chase, in Dunsville, Doncaster. The QGC is a nationwide movement encouraging individuals, groups and companies to sustainably plant trees across the country, in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Intended to encourage the planting of new trees and vegetation, the QGC will also aid the regeneration of ancient woodland. To commemorate the Queen’s Jubilee, we buried time capsules at two of our Yorkshire developments, The Hawthornes, situated in the village of Carlton, and Bishop’s Glade, located in Ripon. The time capsule burial commemorates this year’s Jubilee Bank Holiday, when the nation came together to celebrate the Queen’s 70th year as reigning monarch.
