Putting down roots to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee

Our North Midlands region marked the Queen's Jubilee by supporting the Queen's Green Canopy (QGC). We planted a birch tree at both Thorpe Meadows, our development in Holmewood near Chesterfield and Wyndthorpe Chase, in Dunsville, Doncaster. The QGC is a nationwide movement encouraging individuals, groups and companies to sustainably plant trees across the country, in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Building memories for the Jubilee

To commemorate the Queen’s Jubilee, we buried time capsules at two of our Yorkshire developments, The Hawthornes, situated in the village of Carlton, and Bishop’s Glade, located in Ripon. The time capsule burial commemorates this year’s Jubilee Bank Holiday, when the nation came together to celebrate the Queen’s 70th year as reigning monarch. Stellar storytelling sessions at local schools

In celebration of National Share a Story Month (NSSM) this May, we arranged several storytelling sessions at primary schools close to a selection of our Harron Homes developments. Harron helps hedgehogs back to health

At Harron we’re always eager to support the local wildlife around our developments, and to mark National Hedgehog week we donated £250 to various hedgehog shelters close to our developments. Every year in Britain we celebrate National Hedgehog week in order to help raise awareness of the danger and difficulty facing one of the nation’s most popular animals.
