Harron was delighted to support the recent Pride of Rossington awards, held at Rossington Labour Club near our upcoming De Maulay Manor development. The Pride of Rossington awards is one of the highlights of the Parish Council’s calendar, designed to recognise the contribution of local people from young children to any adults of all ages and abilities. Residents of Harron Homes development Thoresby Vale in Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire began the Christmas season this weekend with an evening of carols to celebrate switching on the Christmas tree and lights. Working with Harworth Estates Property group, the residents arranged for a tree and lights to decorate the development in the run up to Christmas. Harron raises road safety awareness with Barnsley primary school

Harron Homes recently teamed up with Bank End Primary Academy in Barnsley near its Nevison’s Fold development to assist in the school’s “mappings” module, developing year two pupils’ navigation skills and helping them familiarise themselves with their local area and road safety. Dressed in hi-vis jackets donated by Harron, 26 pupils from the year two class participated in a walk to the development which not only addressed road safety but also highlighted the natural features of the area. Rotherham Council recently celebrated an important milestone towards achieving its aim to provide more affordable housing to the area. The completion of 12 homes at Harron Homes’ The Paddocks development in Wickersley marked the 500th home built and was celebrated by an event hosted at the development. Harron successfully put forward a bid to provide all 12 of the affordable homes to Rotherham Council. The 12 homes are made up of six rented units and six shared ownership homes which were purchased at a discount rate in line with Rotherham Council planning policy. Chesterfield housebuilder helps give hope to OPAL school

We have recently donated 30 pairs of high-quality wellies to the children of Staveley Primary Junior School in Staveley, Chesterfield, close to Harron Homes’ Thorpe Meadows development. Staveley Junior School is part of the Outdoor Play And Learning (OPAL) Primary Programme, which aims to encourage creative outdoor play in schools, leading to increased focus in the classroom and the ability for children to regulate their behaviours.
