Celebrating World Book Day Across Our Communities

This World Book Day, we brought the magic of storytelling to hundreds of young readers at four fantastic schools across Yorkshire and the Midlands. With help from incredible storytellers Beth Guiver and Elizabeth Green, we created unforgettable experiences that inspired imagination and a love of reading.

We visited Grange Lane Infant Academy in Rossington and Inkersall Spencer Academy in Chesterfield, where Beth Guiver wowed nursery and reception children with vibrant tales brought to life through music, movement, and character-filled performances.

Meanwhile in Yorkshire, Elizabeth Green delighted pupils at Wetwang Primary School and Airmyn Park Primary School with a mix of folk tales and her own original stories.

This year’s theme, “Read Your Way,” celebrates the freedom to explore stories however you choose. That resonates deeply with us. Just as every book offers a new journey, we believe every home should be a place where families can write their own stories, spaces where imaginations flourish and memories are made.

At Harron Homes, we’re proud to support literacy and creativity in the communities we build. Partnering with local schools is just one way we help young people grow, dream, and discover the power of stories.
