Having been a senior land manager with Harron for two years, stepping into the role of land director was a natural progression for Andy.

Andy, 42, said, “I’ve already seen Harron Homes make a huge difference to the areas and locations with its existing developments. Heading up the team that will acquire new sites and continue Harron’s growth is an exciting journey to embark on. Building the right team is half the job and we already have a great set of people at Harron. I’m looking forward to seeing Harron continue to expand across the midlands bringing high quality homes to the local communities and with the market starting to pick up again we are encouraged about what the future holds.”

With a history of working in construction since leaving school, Pete is eager to get stuck in with the team.

Pete, 58, said, “I’ve been in housebuilding for about 37 years starting off as a trainee in estimating where I was pricing up house types and drawing up budgets. Through hard work and recognition, I’ve progressed in my career and hope to take Harron on a similar journey. I’ve been with Harron for three years now as commercial manager so taking this step up and looking after the sites to ensure they flourish is a fantastic role to take on, especially being part of such a wonderful team. I enjoy motivating people to achieve their goals and look forward to building the team up.”

Both local to Barlborough they know the midlands and surrounding areas well.

Andy said, “I’m from Sheffield and know a lot of good local agents and landowners. It’s important to continue building upon these connections.”

Pete agreed, “It is useful to know your local area. It’s a great part of the country and with developments spanning across the midlands and into Yorkshire, it helps to have great contacts I can call upon.”

Harron Homes appealed to them as a great opportunity to join a growing company.

Andy said, “Harron is a great place to work with fantastic people. It’s rewarding seeing the efforts of our work reflected in the process from land acquisitions to a finished development. We remain active in the market and continue to look for new sites of various sizes.”

Pete added, “It’s the personal touch with Harron and the variety of attractive houses made to a high quality that makes it stand out. Our developments look unique Our developments look unique, which means our customers really have a home they can call their own.”

Natalie Griffiths, Sales and Marketing Director for Harron Homes North Midlands said: “We are delighted to see Andy and Pete take on their new roles.
