On Friday 18th October 2024, Harron Homes proudly joined thousands across the country for Wear it Pink Day, raising awareness and vital funds for Breast Cancer Now. This annual event continues to grow, and our teams at the Barlborough and Leeds offices once again swapped their usual attire for everything pink!

The day was filled with enthusiasm as we hosted various activities and indulged in delicious pink-themed treats, all to help boost our fundraising efforts. Our collective aim is to contribute to Breast Cancer Now’s incredible work, which supports both groundbreaking research and the care needed for those affected by breast cancer.

Breast cancer continues to be the most common cancer in the UK, affecting countless individuals and their families each year. Since 2002, Wear it Pink Day has raised over £39 million to help make life-saving research possible, with the ultimate goal that by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will survive.

John Booth, Managing Director of Harron Homes North Midlands, said, “At Harron Homes, we believe in the power of community, and events like Wear it Pink give us the opportunity to support a cause that touches so many lives. It’s inspiring to see our team come together for such an important cause, knowing we’re contributing to a future where everyone diagnosed with breast cancer has a better chance of survival.”

This year, Harron Homes raised £545.92 and we are immensely proud of our colleagues for their dedication to this important cause. By coming together, we hope to play our part in Breast Cancer Now’s mission to create a future where breast cancer no longer takes lives.
