Yorkshire based Harron Homes is celebrating 27 year-old Zak Green who has won the Rising Star category at the Yorkshire Residential Real Estate Awards held last week, 12th October, in Leeds.
The Yorkshires Residential Real Estate Awards raises a glass to the incredible living spaces that are created and renovated throughout Yorkshire, and the Rising Star category aims to reward the industry’s most promising new talent working within residential property in Yorkshire. The event is organised by Yorkshire Children’s Charity who aim to make things better for the thousands of disadvantaged children in the region; giving children experiencing ill health, disability, or adverse financial circumstances a chance to live an inclusive life.
Zak has been part of the Harron team since 2020 when he became Site Manager at Kings Croft in Killinghall. Since then he has won the prestigious NHBC Pride in the Job award two years in a row for his hard work and high standards at The Hawthornes in Carlton, and is now based at Harron’s newest Barnsley development, Nevison’s Fold.
Zak’s hard work has been consistently recognised since he started his construction career as an apprentice bricklayer in 2012, completing levels one-four of the apprenticeship. The Barnsley local won Apprentice of the Year 2015/16, as well as Assistant Site Manager of the Year in 2018. Constantly looking to improve his skills, he also completed an NVQ Level 5 in site management through the National House Building Council (NHBC) in February 2019.
Zak commented, “In my whole career I’ve made it my mission to go above and beyond to create homes of the best quality, but I’m not done yet so I’m absolutely thrilled to receive the Rising Star award!
“I’ve experienced some real career highlights with Harron so far including my two NHBC awards, and I’m looking forward to seeing what I can achieve next.”
Tony Lee, Managing Director of Harron Homes Yorkshire added, “Massive congratulations to Zak! HeZak is ambitious, talented, and hardworking, putting an immense amount of effort into maintaining high standards on site every day and it’s fantastic that his hard work is paying off.
“We are incredibly proud of Zak, and everyone in our Harron site teams across the county who put in so much effort to create a place people can call home.”
